Welcome!

Welcome to Lamanok Nature and Beach Resorts website.

Lamanok Nature & Beach Resort is well tucked away on the east coast of Bohol - Philippines. The place is owned by a Danish Filipino couple, who have also developed and put their own

personal touch on the area. The Resort really is a paradise for those who want to relax and have a house and the beach for themselves.

To get to the Resort you have to travel by boat (bangka) along the shore, or take small paths through the backcountry. The place has room for 8 people distributed on four 2-person rooms.

The resort has an attached host family whom are available through out the day. They take care of preparing food, organize transport and cleaning both clothes and facilities.

Information!

The house and major facilities are located in a small bay surrounded by cliffs, palm trees, flowers, plants and bermuda grass.

The house / villa is in two levels. On the first floor, you will find 2 bedrooms and a large living room with a view overlooking the sea. Ground floor offers 2 bedrooms, 2

bathrooms, a large kitchen, dining room and terrace overlooking the beach.

The house is made of local craftsmen, drawn by the owner himself and , made from natural resources such as palm-roofs (nipa) bamboo ceiling, hard wooden floor and walls in concrete. The furnitures are made by local craftsmen and made of bamboo and hard wood. All this is done in very fine Filipino style.

It is not particularly difficult to get here. The travel destination would be the city of Tagbilaran on the island of Bohol. From here you take either car, taxi or bus to Anda. The trip takes 2 hours, and one cannot fail to notice the beautiful view along the coast. On arrival in Anda you will be picked up by boat and sail along the coast (about 20 min.) until you reach Lamanok Nature & Beach Resort. Another opportunity is also to drive to Badiang, Anda, from where you will be sailed to the Resort, this only takes 10 minutes. The house is 20 metres from the water, and if you still haven't noticed that you're standing right in the middle of paradise, it can be seen clearly at this time.

What you get!

Service Family

In addition to your own house and private beach in the middle of paradise, you get a service family. They take care of the daily works such as cooking, cleaning, and transportation by boat or car if you should need it. If you need a

babysitter, it's not a problem; small children are no barrier - Filipino loves children. The Service family also acts as guides on land and at sea. We have two people to present with lifeguard certificate.

Food

We offer you breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to small between meals / snacks there will be coffee and other types of beverages, cake, fruit, chips, biscuits and more.

The meals are prepared after the Philippine and Chinese recipes and are not particularly strong. Every day there will be 2-3 different dishes to choose from. It might be chicken, pork, beef or all the best from the sea etc. There will also be a chance to get fresh fruit.

Breakfast usually consists of coffee, tea or cocoa, bread, various forms of eggs, bacon and pancakes.

Should you as a guest have special wishes for breakfast, lunch or dinner, then you are naturally encouraged to contact the kitchen personel.

Experiences!

During the high tide you'll have the opportunity to swim, dive and fish. There are plenty of corals and colorful fish and it's all located about 100 meters from the coastline. You can also take a hike and follow the paths around in the back country and look at the caves, because there are lots of them in Lamanok. Or how about a pleasant and scenic canoe ride through the mangrove on the small waterways?

There's much nature to look at in Lamanok and there are also great opportunities to meet a part of it. As an example you can find flying dogs, monkeys, iguanas, eagles, bats, snakes, butterflies and brightly colored birds. If you're especially lucky you might even get a glimpse of the world's smallest monkey, the Tarsier. Asides from all of these, Lamanok is a place of serenity and relaxation.

We can also recommend a trip around Bohol. Here you can see the world famous Chocolate hills or what about a tour on the Loboc River, with one of the floating restaurants. You can also visit old ancient Spanish churches or take a trip into the town of Tagbilaran to shop etc. You may even see the vicious cockfights during Sundays.
